Family Health Plus (FHP) provides free health insurance for mid- to low-income families. FHP is a managed care plan that is an expansion of the Medicaid program designed for those adults whose income disqualifies them from Medicaid.

Family Health Plus is a managed care plan in which eligibility is determined by your local department of social services or Human Resource Administration. Coverage is then provided through a health plan (HMO).
